Don't fall for tiktoks. The heat transfer from coffee to ice won't change significantly if the ice had to transfer heat through the spoon. Its basic thermodynamics. The best way have less dilution from melting is to have a Big frozen something to drop the coffee temperature before it hits the ice, like a BIG Metal ball, like some baristas do. That will chill the coffee and it'll melt less ice becaus it has less heat in it. But a frozen spoon will only work on tiny shots of coffee, not large ones. You can also not use ice, but those tiny metal cubes that you can freeze works the best here, as it does not melt and will not add water to your coffee. 😁✌️ Peace out!
